I started reserching outdoor wood furnace in summer of 2008 and decided I wanted a Shaver Pro 165. I called the factory and they had a long waiting list.I called Setliff and company and talked to Mary she was great explaning the furnace and everything I needed and what size I needed. They had one in stock that someone didnt take for some reason I bought it and drove to Danville to pick it up. Charles showed me everything about the furnace and told me how to install it. One year later I still belive it was the best investment I have made'. I have had a few minor problems but Charles and Mary have been great in taking care of them. We purchased a Shaver furnace and used Setliff & Co. for all our parts. Mary was so helpful to me and made the whole process so much easier since I really didn't know anything at all about plumbing parts and she knew exactly what I needed! We would like to share our personal experience with Charles and Mary Setliff. We purchased a Shaver Stove from them and it was the best decision we ever made. If you are interested in buying one you really need to contact them because you will never find two people as friendly as these two. We haven’t had any problems and we are very pleased with the customer service that we have received from the Setliff’s. They put there customers first and that is very hard to find with the way the economy is now. We would like to thank Charles and Mary for introducing us to the Shaver it has changed our life style and we love it.

Mary and Charles have been absolutely awesome to work with. Unlike most of today’s companies, they understand fully what old fashioned customer service is all about. While the delivery of our furnace was delayed by Shaver, Mary and Charles worked diligently as customer advocates and made every effort to satisfy the customer. As to the furnace, it’s awesome…We purchased the 340 and it has kept our house toasty warm even during the 2 degree weather we had last week. If you’re looking for a good OWB, Shaver is it. One of the most trustworthy and caring dealers I have done business with. Mary and Charles definitely put the customer at the forefront throughout the entire process. I purchased the Shaver 165 and fired it up on Dec. 22. I noticed a difference right away in the heat. I was used to the cold air blowing through my duct work from my heat pump. Now the air is very warm and it heats the house much quicker. No matter what type of stove you select, you will be satisfied with the service Setliff and Company will give you.

I ordered an outdoor furnace through Setliff and that company wouldn’t fill my order . I talked with Mary about the problem, with winter coming very soon she got me a Legend stove. Im so happy with the Legend. I heat over 4000 sq ft with mine and all the domestic hot water we can use. What Im trying to say is …I LOVE MY STOVE, and I know Mary went far beyond what was expected of her to get me a stove. I did have questions ,and she had the answers. I have thanked her a number of times, and feel she is a friend as well as a sales person.

I started talking with Setliff and Company this Fall. Mary answered all of my questions and if she didn’t know the answer right away she found it for me. She is very helpful and very knowledgeable about her furnaces. She helped me get the perfect fit for what I needed. I am heating my home, hot water, shop and I hope eventually my pool.

Within just a few short weeks I received a phone call from Mary to say that my furnace had arrived on her lot. When I arrived to pick it up, Charles was very helpful in loading the furnaces and answering my questions.

I love my new Nature’s Comfort! It heats my home and my hot water with no problems. The size of the door is awesome and I can put any size log that I can lift. This is a well built furnace and you can tell that it is made to last. I am very satisfied with my purchase and with my service.

I purchased a Legend for quick availability due to the extensive backlog of orders caused by high demand. The Legend is a well built stove that offers ease of use and features that one would expect in an outdoor wood burner stove. Mary at Setliff and Company will go beyond your expectations in customer service. She knows her business and is extremely helpful in answering your questions from delivery to hookup. I purchased an outdoor stove from Mrs. Setliff in October, who by the way is one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I looked at a lot of stoves and how they are made. I am in the metal and welding business and by far Mary is selling three of the best stoves on the market. Depending on your application you have to get one of these stoves. I went with the Legend and am glad I did. The ease of hookup, the big door, the amount of wood it uses, I should say the amount it does not use. The Legend is a user friendly stove, not much of a learning curve. It is not super cold right now but I can throw in a few pieces and stay away for fifteen hours the temp. is right there at 180 with wood left to burn. If you are looking for a stove, look no farther, Mary can hook you up and save you money.

If you are considering the purchase of a wood furnace I suggest the Legend stove . I live in the Blueridge mountains, very close to the parkway…It gets extremely cold up here and so far the legend has done a great job of keeping us warm and filling all our domestic hot water needs.( even the whirlpool) One night after putting wood in the firebox I forgot to turn the fan back on!!! The outside temperature dropped to 29 degrees, but the temp of the water in the stove ONLY dropped to 165 degrees!!

I wont go into all the details BUT Mary Setliff was extremely helpful. There were lots of things going on that were beyond her control, but she stuck in there and got me the Legend stove…She is professional, BUT puts everything on a personal level…Great doing business with her , as matter of fact I've been telling friends to call her.
